Miguel “Mike” B. Fernandez currently serves as chair of MBF Healthcare Partners, L.P., a private investment firm located in Coral Gables, Florida, that invests in healthcare service companies nationwide. He has been the founder and/or majority shareholder of over 20 healthcare related companies, most of which have been acquired by publicly traded companies, including Physicians Healthcare Plans (acquired by AmeriGroup (NYSE: AGP)), CAC Medical Centers, PrescribIT-Rx, CarePlus Health Plans (acquired by Humana (NYSE: HUM)) and Navarro Pharmacies (acquired by CVS (NYSE: CVS)). He serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of Miami.
