ABIC Statement on Bipartisan Border Bill Introduced by Sens. Cornyn and Sinema

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Below is a statement from the co-chairs of the American Business Immigration Coalition on the introduction of the Bipartisan Border Solutions Act by Senators John Cornyn (R-TX) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ):

“ABIC believes in practical problem solving on immigration that results in a path to legalization and citizenship for the 11 million undocumented workers in this nation. The Sinema / Cornyn bill is a serious bipartisan effort to address the challenges at our nation’s borders. This allows for a path forward, opening the door for issues like the bipartisan Durbin / Graham DREAM Act, and the bi-partisan Bennett / Crapo Farm Workforce Modernization Act. Solutions require engaging in a bipartisan way that addresses concerns on both sides. The ball is moving forward, progress is being made, and we celebrate these both senators for working together. The U.S. has been hardening our borders for years, and now this work must shift to solutions like the DREAM Act.”
