Joshua Hoyt has worked for 45 years as an organizer, founder and leader of local, state, and national community and immigrant advocacy organizations. He is a partner in the national progressive consulting firm Democracy Partners. He co-founded the National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA) in 2010 and became its first executive director in 2014, retiring in 2020. Under his leadership, NPNA’s members assisted tens of thousands of immigrants in becoming U.S. citizens and voters. He was also executive director and chief strategy executive at Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights from 2002 to 2013.
