About ABIC in the Carolinas

ABIC Carolina is a chapter representing both North and South Carolina, purposed to promote sensible immigration reform that supports the U.S. economy and welcome immigrants into our economy as consumers, workers, entrepreneurs, and citizens.

We bring together Carolinas’ business and community leaders who support common sense immigration reform, to push for enactment of permanent immigration solutions to address labor shortages, improve our economy, and keep families together.

Director for the Carolinas

Yahel Flores

Yahel Flores is the Director for the Carolinas. He is a DACA recipient. Born in CD Juarez Chihuahua, raised in Winston Salem, NC. Prior to joining ABIC he was in the supply chain industry. Handling international imports for multiple corporate companies. He was a multisport athlete growing up that honed his skills in leadership, work ethic, and helped him give back to his community.

He is a father to a 9-year-old little boy. After high school and during college, he started a few businesses to self-fund his education while attending Guilford College. While at Guilford, he was active with Soy Un Lider conference to help high school seniors navigate the college application process. He was also a part of Hispanos Unidos De Guilford. Yahel and his family are personally affected by immigration policies and reform, which is why he looks forward to working to improve the lives of immigrants in the Carolinas.

What We Do

ABIC Carolinas

Collaborates with more than 90 CEOS, small business owners, and immigrant advocacy organizations to lift their voices through forums and in the media in support of common sense immigration reform.

Convenes roundtables and press conferences with immigration reform advocates, including top business leaders, to encourage congressional lawmakers to see immigrants as the solution to grow the economy, and not a political issue.
