About ABIC in Illinois
ABIC Illinois, also known as IBIC, works with a growing and diverse set of businesses and business associations — representing large corporations and small business, low-skilled to high-skilled workers — to support sensible immigration reforms to benefit the people and economy of our state.
What We Do
ABIC Illinois
Leads the Healthy Illinois Campaign and the Defenders For All (D4A) coalition in Cook County. The D4A campaign is a coalition of over 40 immigrant leaders, community organizations, and legal service providers that support the creation of a fully funded immigration unit within the Cook County Public Defender’s Office (CCPD) to provide legal representation for immigrant workers and their families. For more information about D4A or if you would like to join the coalition, click here.
Partners with small business owners, CEOs, universities, hospitals, and advocacy organizations to take a stand and fight for sensible and comprehensive immigration reform.
Educates small business owners and others on government initiatives that may support their businesses, such as the Paycheck Protection Program and other COVID-19 based business recovery assistance while also providing member businesses with trainings and technical assistance on I-9 employment verification forms and Know Your Rights presentations for management and employees when interacting with immigration enforcement.
