The U.S. House of Representatives recently passed the bipartisan Dream and Promise Act of 2021 and the Farm Workforce Modernization Act with strong bipartisan support. Now, bills are awaiting action in the Senate that would provide much-needed certainty to Dreamers, farm workers, recipients of Temporary Protected Status and their families, as well as ensure a reliable workforce for their employers. These groups have been stuck in legal limbo for years, are already making vital contributions to the Carolinas, and include many members of the Latino community.
Together, we will urge Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC), Richard Burr (R-NC), Tim Scott (R-SC) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to support immediate passage of several bipartisan immigration solutions that recognize the Latino community’s vital, and growing, contributions to the Carolinas: the bipartisan Dream Act of 2021, the SECURE Act, and the Farm Workforce Modernization Act.
Register here to participate in this event organized by the Carolinas Chapter of the American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC).
